Continuing our artist-first mission, we are welcoming three internationally acclaimed directors whose unique visual worlds expand the studio’s creative vocabulary.
Eric Lane has helmed a range of 3D work, spanning environments, products, and VFX as a creative director with Hornet for 6 years, including work for Apple, Verizon, and Amazon.
We are thrilled our talent-first ethos and culture of championing innovation, inclusion, and creative growth has been recognized by such a prestigious workplace award.
Hornet Managing Partner Hana Shimizu has had tremendous impact on Hornet with her fresh approaches to leadership in the creative industry.

Hornet Directors Laser Days spoke about creating stories in game engines, and our film for Balloonerism is an official selection at the 2025 festival.
Our opening titles for the OFFF MX festival, directed by Itay Tevel, was voted Video of the Day for April 9, and Video of the Month for the month of April by the Motion Design Awards jury and members.
The film, directed by Samuel Jerome Mason, won silver in the category Branded Entertainment and Content – Music.
Our film for Mac Miller's album Balloonerism won the Gold Cube and Best of Discipline for Motion/Film Craft. Producer Heather Hardin, CG Supervisor Richard Kim, and CG Lead Rui Zhu accepted the awards at the ADC Annual Awards in NYC.
