Peter Sluszka
To celebrate Chobani's new Halloween-themed packaging, Hornet Director Peter Sluszka conjured up a stop-motion campaign featuring a cast of classic spooky characters–from unraveling mummies to cackling witches to hungry plants.

Inspired by Peter's previous papercraft work for Chobani, their NYC-based creative team sought out his unique take on this campaign, and collaborated closely with our artists throughout the production process.

DESIGN

Guided by Chobani's seasonal package design, we created a physical 3D evolution of their original 2D characters brought to life in stop-motion animation. The cast was a classic crew of halloween characters plus fun, custom characters like marshmallow ghosts. The team experimented with a wide range of materials that all fit together in a playful, harmonious way.
‍
Peter took inspiration from old-fashioned cartoons full of ghouls, ghosts, rubbery limbs, and dancing skeletons. Adding to the nostalgia of it all, the spot was shot in a classic multi-plane way that echoes cel animations of eras past.

"The halloween theme is super fun to work with - everyone wanted to really lean into the holiday. Building the classic haunted house was a great challenge." – Peter Sluszka
